End of November post
Well, Christmas season is almost upon us and I'm actually sort of ahead on my shopping. Usually I don't get anything done till the 15th...
Digital libraries as art galleries
Was interested in this for awhile, seeing as I'm interested somewhat in archiving. I was wondering about the state of digital libraries as access points for art galleries and whatnot for older artwork; work in a special collections department I did back in...I think it was summer 2006, I came across numerous things like photographs and such and was curious as to what kind of things libraries do to make things like this accessible. So far, I've found a REALLY good example in the Library of Congress, with their online exhibitions site.

Library tech blog
Found this while searching around on Google. Seems the ALA has a site up for libraries and technology. I poked around and found an article on libraries and video games, and videogame-related services provided by libraries. It seems the articles on this site are available for purchase site rather than free-viewing, which might be a little discouraging, but it's interesting to look up headlines. They also have newsletters and such to subscribe to.

Sept Readings
So I've been reading over the first few chapters in Norton and I'm actually finding things previously not understood to be quite clear. Reading on into the fourth and fifth chapters actually explained to me what I didn't understand from previous readings as to how microprocessors work, and I never even knew what cache was used for until recently!
